Brief Description:  Fuel vent tubing - fabricated

Finally had to get this task done, Not much guidance except common sense and good practices. This is a little different than both the RV-6A and the -7A plans. But a variation of them and the -9A (which is largely the -7A). The vent line penetrates the side of the fuselage aft of the bulkhead, but doesn't penetrate the bulkhead with the AN fitting. The -9A shows the fitting through the bulkhead and then a rubber grommet to penetrate the fuselage side skin. This is more like the -6A plans but with the fitting in the fuselage, positioned aft of the bulthead. Okay ... good enough.

The position forward of the bulkhead would require the vent line to pass thru a lightening hole in the fuel tank attach bracket. Instead, this orientation allows a fitting for the penetration, and an easily fabricated and maintained vent line to connect tank to fuselage. There is a .125" AL space on the outboard side of the AN fitting to position the retaining nut to be torqued by a wrench. The bends allow a little leeway in the alignment, and there is flexibility. This aft position required the removal of a fuselage skin 'disc' just like the fuel line penetration.

The fuel tank vent lines are now complete but need to be reviewed, torqued, and a little primer, as needed to be 'checked off the list'.
