Brief Description:  Fuel sending unts, installation (Continued)

Mixing up a fuel entry with work on the pitot mast ... oh well.

Drilled out the three rivets on the main spar line where the pitot mast needs to overlap and then added two more holes on the back of the mast to the wing skin. Dimpled, countersunk and clecoed for temporary location while I work on the pitot and AOA tubing.

Since I had previously installed soft AL tubing for the Vans stainless pitot, and upgraded to the Dynon unheated unit, the AL tubing can be used for the pitot connection instead of the SafeAir 'green'. The question is the two different sizes of tubing and what AN fitting to use.

In addition, the AOA hook-up will need a 2nd tube and I might use the 'green' tubing for that. Of course it will need to be well labeled to avoid confusion about the color convention.

Lastly, another pic of the fuel sending unit float arm shape. #3 -- shows the wire (2" section, 4" section and almost a 90 deg bend. Will measure the resistance to see what these angles yield at each end fo the movement range.
