Dwg #C2 - is a little difficult but a few Internet photos help clarify the relationship of the components. Dwg #45 has a better detail of the parts. Fabrication of the spacers is called out in the plans, but an alternative is a stack of AN washers. The goal is to position the pant bracket 1/16" (approx) from the brake rotor. Seems to be 7 washers thick - to be determined.
Assembly is a matter of carefully sequencing the compoents. The pieces cannot be attached in the wrong sequence and succeed. Practice run, with lots of backtrracking.
Main gear legs are not powder-coated and will be covered by leggings, Will paint an acceptable enamel (epoxy). Notes say that the gear requires good protection.
Could assemble and get the fuselage on wheels and re-do, properly torque, etc., when doing final wing attachment.
Ordered a misc H/W list from Vans.
Disassembled 1st main wheel, put LockTite on stem nut, and re-assembled.
NOTE: Apparent 'crooked' rotor is an anamoly of cell phone camera distortion
