Received an email from Vans that the Finishing Kit will be shipping out TODAY via Fedex LTL Longhaul truck. Expected delivery in Phoenix, at the freight terminal is next Monday (1 week). Seems about right but being here on Christmas Eve day would have been 'nice'.
Guess it's time to again give the Airplane Factory a quick cleaning to make room, and be sure to have my tie-downs in the pick-up truck for Monday. Didn't figure a 332 lb crate would be THAT difficult to handle, so I requested no home delivery.
In the meantime, I'll be lurking on the Internet and reviewing all the websites, videos, lists, and forums for inspirational pictures and first-flight stories. Vans Air Force (.net) - run by Delta Romeo (Doug Reeves) is proving to be very active and informational source. Will have to add that to my voluntary contribution in the great capitalist tradition of compensation for value added service. THANKS
