Trimmed another 1/4" from the aft end of the top cowl, and re-tested. Still a little long.
Mated the lower & upper cowls and filed out the thickness of the outside portion of the overlap. Unfortunately the inlet is not well mated, and needs a radical approach.
The approximate side overlap is visible of the inboard surface of the cowl from the shop lights.
Fiberglass --- what a pain
Found a bowl that worked as a female mold to fabricate a fiberglass blister to cover the hole cut to clear the alternator. This is a first step and will be a bigger task to finish. Tomorrow will tell if the mold worked to get the blishter shaped.
