Eureka! RTFM, and if you don't find it, RTFM again. There's a whole chapter on Screen Layout Editing. Unfortunately that was never mentioned in the Flap Position setup between the SkyView EFIS and the VP-X Sport and how to display it. Since I have not mounted the engine, most of the EMS functionality in the EFIS was not reviewed in detail.
Anyway, found a small note in section 13-4 which mentioned editing the layout for the Batt Voltage and that lead to the submenu for editing layout.
Had to remove C37 P22 (37-pin EMS connector, Pin 22) "Flap Position" from the sensor mapping page, too. And, the EMS Calibration for Flaps still must be done, even if the VP-X will control the POS-12 and stops. Faulty information also said to skip the VP-X Flap Calibration, but this did NOT work. Seems to duplicate but seems necessary.
