When I couldn't find the 1/2" .050 4130 steel for the cable links, I ordered the material this week from Vans. It arrived on Friday and Sat evening, I found a 20" strip of the 4130. [Couldn't find my favorite bucking bar on Friday while riveting, but found it Friday night - used as a weight for the elevator balance testing.] Too many distractions!!
Now that the links are in, I can operate the pedals and move the rudder while "making airplane noises" and the cable moving through the grommets is surprisingly loud. Guess it will be less noticeable when the engine is running. Look forward to THAT distraction.
Continuing to bolt and rivet stuff - and check them off the list.
