Brief Description:  Platenuts to retain control stick brackets

Cleaning up details in preparation for wing fitting. Needed to allow more cut-out of removeable rib web to clear upper spar bolt/nut. Desired to 'fix' the control stick bracket to the F-604 bulkhead when the spar bolts are not installed. Final alignment adjustments on ribs, and tubes.

The only removeable rib had insufficient area cut-out to allow the bolt/nut to fully penetrate the F-604 spar. Although it cleared the spar reinforcement plate, it would prevent the rib from being re-fastened. I fabricated a heavy 'repair' plate and then trimmed it excessively to allow room. One of the other reasons to reinforcement this rib is to ensure its rigidity and shape during installation.

The adjacent rib (to the Rt) is also going to be trimmed but I think that since it is not removeable, I'll just snip out the section that interferences. Installing a 'repair' patch will add no apparent strength to the rib since it's already riveted to the F-604 bulkhead and won't be moved.

The #2 photo shows the small AL 'tab' [not in plans] that I fabricated from scrap to secure the position of the control stick bracket. This is ONLY required during the time that the wing is being installed/removed, otherwise the bracket is secured by an upper and lower AN3 bolt through the spar and/or F-604 bulkhead. This little tab is held by a screw and platenut riveted to the F-604, similar the to the fwd edge of the removeable rib is fastened.
