Brief Description:  Bellcrank - elevator

Located the 'perfect' intersection of the horizontal and vertical angles behind the baggage bulkhead. Progresively drilled to 1/4" as specified. Drilled the vertical hole first and then clamped a block of wood as a drill guide to align the horizontal hole and hold it steady. Had previously drilled the wood block on the press to get a nice straight guide hole.

Cut two spacers from AL tubing approx 11/16ths long (two req'ed) and used the drill press chuck to 'square' the ends by spinning them down on a rough sandpaper pad.

NOTE: The aft top skin was clecoed on to ensure that the bulkheads were 'fixed' into position. Without this step the vertical position is flexing with the tops of the bulkheads. The fwd top skin must be removed on at least side, preferably both, to reach the bellcrank.

Shown in approx the 'neutral' position (i.e., absolute vertical).
