Brief Description:  EAA Copperstate Fly-in

Who could argue that at least 4 hrs of the day was 'real' airplane building research and should go in the log?

Met reps from Vertical Power, AVMap, Vertical Avionics, and Dynon to review the products, progress and next steps in my selection and building process. Discovered some simplified information for 'dummy boxes' to wire and install NOW, and acquire equipment further down the road. Learned about integration snags, benefits, and choices to avoid painting myself into a corner.Looked with a keen eye at the flight line and observed details that I had glossed over in previous airshows.

Had a good meeting with an engine rebuild company to discuss my prop strike engine and how to get it reviewed and re-assembled. I'd like to participate in the re-assembly and be knowledgeable about the whole engine. I don't want to just 'hang an engine' and go fly, but don't want to make a career out of building this airplane either.

Then I admired the aviators and aircraft of the past. WOW. It was a beautiful day, and has to be one of my fond memories of being involved in experimental airplane construction.
