Brief Description:  Rt Wing skin - preparations

Worked on the dimpling for the last wing skin (W-603). Carefully working through deburring, dimpling skins/ribs, and countersinking spars.

Plans and instructions indicate that moderate/light countersinking on the spars combined with dimpling the .040 material would result in a good fit, and removal of the least flange material. This worked okay on the rear spar, with good fit. However, the holes in the rear spar were close to the spar web and tight to dimple. On the main spar, the countersinking was a little too 'gent' (shallow) and the skin dimple is 'sitting on' the spar. More adjustment on one or both and using the edge roller should get a perfect fit.

Discovered that insufficient force on the hand squeezer resulted in poorly defined dimples and slight indentations around the hole surround. Had to work on correcting this and was satisfied with the final appearance of all skin dimples.

Have one 'fit concern' at the overlap with the inbd skin at the main spar behind the fuel tank. Will consider 1) edge preparations, 2) an additional rivet, or 3) joggling the skin slightly for fit.
