Shaped a sleeve of scrap plastic (UHMW) to fit over the rigid AL tube spacer in the inbd aileron bracket (upper pivot) and 5/8" diameter to act as a range of motion stop. The plans call for a small tab of AL to be riveted onto the aileron bracket attached to the aft wing spar. Although this is installed per plan, the outbd bracket has a bolt head which is touching the outbd aft spar bracket. Contact is slight but objectionable, and the added plastic sleeve provides a slightly strong contact stop and exactly stops the upper limit of travel, too.
Installed as a test on the left aileron only for now and will consider a more precise piece and make an adjustment to the HEIM clearnance, too. The large washer appears to contact the HEIM joint and needs a washer to prevent this.
