Brief Description:  Rt wing - Remove & Nutplates

Pulled the right wing away from the fuselage to install the wing root fairing. Dimpled and deburred screw holes for fairings, then positioned nutplates by screwing in the C/S screws. Instead of the nutplate jig tool, these will be hand drilled using the nutplates as guides. The rivet spacing on 3 of 11 nutplates is so close to the wing skin rivets that there is a necessity to file one end of the nutplate flat. Using the nutplates as drill guides will ease the best alignment.

With 22 holes for nutplates, and 44 holes for rivets, plus another 11 holes in the overlapping fuselage bottom skin - lots of repetition.

Need to also add a bead of silicone sealant to the junction of the bottom skin and the fuselage side skin to prevent water from seeping into the plane from the wing fairing.
