Brief Description:  Set up for Sweep & Angle of Incidence

Ok, spent 'most' of the day working on the wing attach; specifically the area of the attachment of the rear spar to the 'forks' on the fuselage. This attachment is very significant, a 'right of passage' in the construction process. (Like the Big Cut). It all focuses on setting the wing sweep, and the angle of incidence.

At the end of the day, the holes have not been drilled but the concepts are clear, the location has been determined, the spot to drill the 'pilot hole' (sounds obscene), is marked, and it was time to take a break, let the mind rest and re-visit it when fresh to review before commiting to that hole location. The FAQ on the Vans' Builder's Tips was extremely helpful and put my mind at ease when it was all completed. Checking everything 5 times, and then reviewing, again, I found that I had still mis-read a dimension that was making the task difficult. There's a larger tolerance than I'd thought.

Alright, I had help from Trent Allen, a pilot and 'thinking about' building his own plane. Nice to have help with moving the wings, measuring and being an extra set of hands and eyes.

Then I work a couple of hours on the Rt Wingtip nutplates and got about half of the nutplates drilled, clecoed, and ready to rivet. Will continue there next.
