Brief Description:  More install of landing light - Left wing

Took way too long, again. But, it was an area of construction that I'd aborted months ago and needed to refresh my understanding. Of course, the mistake of installing the wrong nutplates on the rib didn't help the task. The 6-32 stainless screws, and other unique hardware required finding the right tray of parts.

Had to drill out a pair of 8-32 nutplates and re-install with 10-32 nutplates. Then worked carefully and slowly on the plexiglass lens to fabricate the backing strips for the lens nutplates, trim the edges, and match-drill all the mounting holes. (There are no 2nd chances to do it right the first time.)

The longer it takes to prepare a plexi part, the more carefull it needs to be finished to avoid wasting all the work that has gone into that progress. Worked slowly and will 'dull drill bits' to enlarge the holes, too. Applied a layer of painter's tape to protect against scratches.

Still need to prime some areas, parts and also run electrical wiring to the end-rib for extended connections to the landing light (left wing). And could NOT find the foam tape and double-sided tape to complete the last steps. Duckworks 55w landing light, left wing.
