Brief Description:  Vent line

The plans call for one vent line to the corner where all three fuel compartments meet. This arrangement has reportedly allowed fuel to vent overboard when the fuel tank is full and the nose is down for parking.
Many people have noted that they changed this to add a second vent near the spar. So I installed the plans vent and a new vent that open near the spar above the fuel screen. Both lines are routed through the ledge that was formed for the top skin. I will have to open up the top skin to accomodate the tubes.
The tubes went across the top of the spar next to the fairing. Both then are routed to a common manifold that is shared with both tanks. The inlets from the vents are at the bottom and a common vent line is connected out of the top of the block. The common vent line will be routed to below the spar in the air stream. With the common vent coming out of the top of the block, if a tank burps some liquid, it will primarily drain to the other tank.
All of the tubes are secured using click bonds and adel clamps.
A ground wire is run with the plans location vent. This wire will be connected to the fuel cap when it is isntalled.
