Brief Description: Laying Up Canopy Hdwe Reinf. and the Inside Skin
I started to lay up the FHC hinge hard points. I made a few mistakes in this step. First mistake was that I had taken the foam to far down around the hard point area. The hard point is intended to be level with the longeron match surface. I had contoured it so it had to be built back up. The layup was extremely thick (about 1.5 to 2" thick). Consequently, it exothermed. When it started, I tried to remove as much as I could, then I simply started to keep it cool with anything I could. I ended up using ziplock bags of ice.
