12/16/2006 I cut out the speed brake. The foam had been epoxied to the underlying foam too much and the speed brake broke the glass fibers in several locations. I will have to fit new foam and new fiberglass layup on the foam to make a new speed brake. 12/22/2006 I cleaned up the foam under the speed brake. 12/24/2006 I cut new foam and fitted it to the opening in the fuselage. I taped up the foam that I cut the speed brake out of and then layed up 2 plys of UND at alternating 30° layups. 12/25/2006 I trimmed the speed brake to near the correct size. It still needs some trimming. 01/27/2007 I cut LB-19 and LB-23. I cut out the groove in the bottom of the fuselage for the LB-23. I cut out alum tabs and epoxied them to the LB-23. I cut LB-24 to size and alodined it. 03/02/2007 I placed 3 layers DUCT tape on LB-23 and 5 min epoxied it to LB-24. 03/05/2007 I trimed the brake for the hinge and floxed it in place. 03/30/2007 LB-23 was micro'd in place. 08/23/2007 I received the electric speed brake actuator. I cut out a new LB19 as I had placed the LB19 on the wrong side of the speed brake. I cut out the foam and floxed it in place. Using the dimensions for the electric actuator, I cut out a slot in the floor and smoothed out the foam in preparation for glassing. 08/29/2007 I cleaned up all the foam, rounding all corners. 08/31/2007 I micro'd the foam and then layed up 3 BIDs across the speed brake opening. I layed up an extra layer of BID across the slot depression and the LB23 hinge. 09/06/2007 I prepared the brake foam and cut 3 layers of BID. 09/10/2007 I layed up the 3 BIDs on the brake and set it in the depression on the fuselage to cure. 09/12/2007 I attached the brake hinge with flox 09/14/2007 I drilled the holes for the attachment bolts on the hinge; however, while tapping one, the tap bit broke off. I am still trying to remove the bit
