01/20/2007 I started the tedious job of masking the lip edge for the landing gear cover. Not finished yet. 01/21/2007 Finished masking the lip edge. Started to cut and fit the foam. I placed wood supports using 5 min epoxy on top of duct tape for quick release. Still need to shape the entry hole for the landing gear. 01/27/2007 I epoxied all of the landing gear cover foam together using micro. It may still need som trimming around the landing gear strut opening 01/28/2007 I shaped the foam. Micro'd the duct area and layed down 3 plys BID at 45°. 02/09/2007 I taped up the rest of the foam on the cover and cut the BID 02/10/2007 Micro'd the rest of the cover outside of the duct area and layed down 3 plys BID at 45°. 02/11/2007 I seperated the cover and removed all of the tape. I trimmed the cover to fit around the LG Strut. 02/17/2007 I shaped the foam on the underside of the LG Cover. 02/23/2007 I layed doen 2 BID tapes on the flanges and 1 BID layer overall. 03/02/2007 Trimmed the flanges to shape. Drilled three holes and decided to wait until I purchased the threader. 03/04/2007 I purchased the threader and tapped the holes. I cut a recess for the screw heads. Then I Drilled the rest of the holes and finished Step 4.
