The top was fitted in a similar fashion as the bottom. One exception is that there are several blind nuts on the top hald the equipment in the inside firewall. All of these were also located and opened up so that they could be seen for inspection and allow the SS to lay flat. Each one has a metal piece that it is attached which will also protect the firewall.
The wing spar to the left and right were also cut to fit and overlap about 1/2". The fairing section where the fuel tank vents come through the firewall also had some pieces cut and fit.
Two large wire penetration was installed on the upperfirewall to allow the alternator, starter and Electronic ignition wiring through. It is being protected by a stainless flange and pipe. Fire wrap will be used to fireproof the opening.
