I decided to cover the hole that was previously cut out. I placed one BID and then filled the hole area with flox to allow the BID to sag into the hole. I then placed a second BID over the flox and attached a flat card with tape release on it to make a flat surface.
Once this was cured, I marked the place for each hole using the gasket from the NAV light as a template. I drilled the bolt hole to 9/32". I inserted a Nutsert 10-32 ATS2-1032 and crimped it in place. I drilled a 1" hole for the wires and a 11/32" hole for the rear alignment pin. Then the light was screwed into place. Currently the wires are only sitting in place, not connected.
