I installed the bracket and the oil cooler. I trial fit the cowling and found that it would not fit. The oil cooler was interfering. I moved it up 1.5" and it still interfered. I finally had to concede that the oil cooler could not fit in this location without modifying the bottom cowl. I am not ready to make that adjustment; therefore, I am changing my original plan.
The oil cooler will be installed on the top of the firewall accoring to the plans location. It will be positioned above the tank vent manifold. This position keeps it away from the electrical and allows sufficient room to remove the oil filter.
