In preparation of mounting the engine, there are a few changes to the engine that I need to make. The IO-360-B1E 180 HP Lycoming has a fuel servo that exits the rear of the oil sump. This places the flange for the filter within about 1" of the firewall. To fix this, the engine configuration is being changed to be equivalent to a B1B which has the fuel servo exiting the bottom of the oil sump. A replacement sump was purchased with the necessary gaskets, induction tubes, and induction tube gaskets. I pulled the oil sump and realized that the B1E sump does not have a STD-91 plug. I have it on order, but it is backordered currently. I closed the sump back up temporarily, with no gasket and only 4 bolts.
