While the rudder pedals are out, I decided to upgrade the connecting bolts (AN4) to Taper pins (AN3862-8). I have drilled out the existing holes using a taper reamer S&B # 1. I am using the Taper pin washer AN975-3 and the castellated nut (AN310-3) to allow safety wiring.
