At long last we've flipped the canoe. The fuselage has gone from an up-side-down project to an right-side-up airplane. This is a bit moment for a builder because it represents the well-past halfway point of the build. Things after this happen very quickly according to the directions. It takes a very long time and a lot of careful preparation to get to this point and it seems that most of the hardest parts are in the front half of the fuselage. This is also a great moment becuase my son helped me so much during this portion as most of the riveting is a two person job. He got progressively better from the tailcone through the rest of the riveting that he can I can rivet as a team much better than I can rivet alone. Lastly, this cut me loose to do a bunch of work on my own without needing him to break away from his xBox to come help.
My son and I making airplane noises
Plenty of leg room
Don't understand why this looks so cool but it does.
