01/09/19: 2.66Hrs Worked on 1 by removing the vinyl coating and deburring.
01/10/19: 8.1Hrs 1. The skins were deburred and marked, one as L and one as R. 2,3 HS-1218A-L&R were clecoed to the right main skin flanges and drilled 3 #30 holes into each hinge, parts were deburred. 4. The main skins were clecoed to the skeleton as step 4 dictates. 5. All four HS-01231C-1 were clecoed to the skins and to the skeletons, a total of SIX holes on each gusset were final-drilled #30, see the note below. 6. The hinge stop hardware was removed from the skeleton. Step 7 was worked on, starting to rivet the skins to the skeleton.
01/11/19: 3.85Hrs 7. Both skins and all gussets were completely riveted to the skeleton (except were noted on the manual) 8.The hinge stop hardware was installed with a torque of 28 IN/LBS.
NOTE: Three holes were expanded #30, a call to Van's told us to confirm the edge distance between the left group and the right group wasn't too different. After confirming this, we would be able to use a #30 rivet, an AN470AD4-4 was used.
