Today we started with steps 5 and 6 (17-04). Since step 6 requires to repeat all steps from 2 (17-02) through step 4 (17-04) so we hopped back to step 6 (17-02) and completed it, we also started step 7 of the same page (leaving the holes of the doubler open because we are still missing the BSPQ rivets. We noticed that the BSPQ rivets that we do have are too long for the sections that are not above the main spar, we’ll have to contact Van’s to know more about this. Step 5 (17-04) was started but not completed, in order to dimple the holes in which the flat screw sets, we used the same technique covered in May 7th’s log.
