We started on step 2 of page 17-04 which didn’t quite fit what we were seeing, there were only two dimpled holes on the skin that matched the doubler, the other one was not dimpled but Van’s told us that, because of the hole's position, it should fit a flat rivet as well, so we had to dimple that third hole on the doubler as well as on the skin. Then, we completed steps 3 and 4 (17-04) and as a note we also covered the open hole that is above the tie down using an LP4-3 since this is optional if you ever need to lift the plane, it is also optional to cover it. Step 1 of page 17-05 was also completed by bending the W-1204G-L by hand.
