Brief Description:  Right wing tip

Over the weekend I worked on the right wing tip, it is just about ready to drill to the paino hinge. A little more filing and I should have it fitting good. Be care how you take care of the wing tips over the years they like to take on a little different shape, just my two cents. I think the best is to place them in a jig or place them on the wall with the inboard skin up. If they sit on a table for a long period of time, the inboard skin likes to curve out. The left tip took a little heat to reschape the curve. It looks okay now, but I was not very happy with it originally.

Photo's are attached on the tip work, I finished up Monday evening, much like the left tip, however, not as many hours. Mostly because you have a better idea after drilling and prepare the first tip.

I thinking I should fix our Cardinal tips now that I know how to do it. The Cessna Cardinal has some cracks on the leading edge of its tips and they are screwed on. It would be fairly easy to fix them, plus the duck tape doesn't look very good. Need to talk with our A&P and get the go ahead.
