Did some cutting on my left wing tip with a hacksaw blade and trimed off the protion of the edge that will not be needed with the piano hinge application. Watch what you take off in this process because if you take off to much it's time consuming getting it back on. Consequently, pay very close attention to want you are trying to do. The nose of the tip will rest inside the forward alumium flange up against the rib. Aft about 2 inches, from the nose, I will install a few rivets that will be for looks and consistency with the other rivets on the skin of the wing. That area of the fiber glass tip needs to be remove about 1/4 inch in from the outside edge.
