The door opener went on without much trouble, the tipup canopy connectors was a different story. In the end I went with Mark Phillip's idea of an aluminium bracket. I'm thinking it will work ok, I may need to file it down some to get the top skin to attach without pinching off the tipup arm and bracket to the point of not working. If you use this type of attachment, please leave a little room for the tipup arm can move freely with the top skin on. About 10 hours I have worked on the part of the building process, this included making UHMW blocks and trying to get them to fit and that just didn't work, consequently, I used the aluminum bracket. This was much faster, however, I still working on the tipup canopy, so time will tell how they will work.
