Brief Description:  Drilling aft spar through bulk head.

Today I drilled the rear spar through the bulkhead on the VS to the tiedown. This took a little time because the tiedown was drilled prior. Consequently, I used the jig plate that I used originally to mark the location and drill the #40 pilot holes for the lower bolts. It came out just fine, however, if you have not drilled them yet leave the #40 pilot holes open until you drill through the VS aft spar, bulk head and then into the tiedown, also, using a jig plate made this all work out fairly smooth and I think it is necessary. The measurements are very important from the VS tip to the aft tip of the HS, however, make sure everything is level. Also, take into consideration any filing that may have been done on the outside edge of your HS for elevator travel. Just my 2 cents.
