Brief Description:  Fabricated main battery cables

Starting with right battery's ground, I crimped a terminal lug onto #2 awg cable and attached it to one end of the run and then located the other end, measuring the cable for cutting and making sure the route was clear and/or well supported. I then removed the cable, cut at the mark, and crimped a lug on the other end, making sure it was oriented correctly with the attachment point. I followed the same procedure with the right battery to solenoid cable and the left batter ground. The engine ground strap was routed from a bolt on the accessory cover to the same ground point as the right battery. Finally, I routed the starter cable along ths sump to the firewall and then over to the starter solenoid. Once all cables were complete I took them to Jack Keegan, who had a torch and solder. We soldered the crimped joints for extra security. Then I added the nutplates for the battery grounds to the firewall and also the nutplates for the ignition box installations. Once the nutplates were riveted in place, I installed the cables, being careful not to attach ground to battery yet. At this point, the starter cable is not clamped to the sump, pending possible colocation of other wire runs.
