Brief Description:  Tailcone Damage Assessment

Did a thorough assessment of damage inside tailcone with skins removed. Similar damage as was found in fuselage but not as much. The aft end of the tailcone was pretty clean aft of the F-1210A frame so do not expect much work there. There is a lot of "crap" at the lower flanges of the F-1207B baggage bulkhead. Since the bulkhead has the same primer as the fuselage, cleaned the same way - Acetone and a rag removed most of the material but did have to use a Scotch Brite pad and Acetone to remove everything. There is some very minor pitting but not too bad - I was expecting worse. Also trial cleaned the rivet lines at the forward end of the F-1281-R lower right skin where the Zinc Phosphate primer was used. An Acetone-soaked rag was able to scrub most of the damage (and primer) but some light scuffing with a Scotch Brite pad was required to get everything. Saw light discoloration but no pitting. Hope that's the case when cleanng up the rest of the lower skins.
