0.7 flight time. Saw 14 hot air balloons on the way out to the airport this morning. Took a little longer than usual to taxi out - had to wait for two arrivals to clear the taxiway. Did forward slips - this really brings in the rate of descent - got 1000 fpm pretty easily. Saw some bubbles in the fuel sight tube on resuming st & l with the associated engine burbles. Did some lazy 8's as well. Pattern was pretty busy on return, but I timed it to fit right in. Noticed the outside of the left main tire is wearing more than anywhere else on the mains. Others have reported this as well. Seems to be from sitting on the left side, and the answers appear to be to rotate the tires from time to time or to flip the left tire around on the rim. Though I only have 30 flights with slightly more landings than that, due to the size of the field here, I probably get close to 3 miles of taxi for each flight. Including takeoffs and landings, that's closing in on 100 miles on these tires.
