Brief Description:  Flight 21 - no specific data

0.6 flight time. Before the flight, adjusted the trim to give higher speed. Adjusted the mixture about 3/4 turn more rich (at the carb - needle adjustment). Added masking tape to the upper forwards edge of the right flap to see if it still contacts the aft spar after being adjusted 1/2 turn down on the push rod. In the flight, it was a little too bumpy for good airspeed data, so I did a quick run to a new top speed of 165 mph indicated, then set the rpm to about 2550 and cruised between 120-130 mph. Flew rectangular courses to practice holding heading and altitude. The mixture adjustment brought the EGT down about 50-60 degrees, probably about where I want it. Also calmed down the "burbles" some (when it's lean, small air bubbles in the fuel line cause the engine to stumble). Noticed that the rudder trim tab still isn't bent quite enough. After the flight, saw that I had burned 2 gallons, and that the RH flap still does contact the aft spar. I wonder if that's because the right flap pushrod can twist the entire length of the drive tube, as the locking handle for the flaps is on the left end of the tube. So with both flaps set equally "down" below the wing, the right one has more "give" when air loaded. I'll try another 1/2 turn down, but don't want to get the right flap so far out that the plane is turning. I guess it was good to skip taking data and gather all this other info.
