Brief Description:  4th flight

Cut down baffles on each side by 1". Left side temps looked good. Right side was lower, so I'll make a taller baffle for that one to even the temps out. First flight with the rudder trim tab - brought the ball about 1/2 way back to center, so will bend it twice as far and try again. Got away from the pattern for a few minutes and did several 360 turns in each direction. Level and descending speed was around 120mph, so the throttle was way back for that. Tried 20 deg. flaps on landing - definitely increases the sink rate. I wasn't aiming for near the threshold - 2 reasons - 1, it's a 7000' runway, so don't come up short, and 2, the hangar is at the far end, so I may as well head that way at 70mph instead of taxi speed. Wind was perfectly calm, temperature 7C. Oil got up to about 170F, so there may be too much air going through there (others have reported this). The oil hose with the elbow continues to leak, so after the flight I removed it to make a new hose without a swivel elbow. 0.4 flight time, 1 landing.

Trying a 1/2

Trying a 1/2" thick pad for the seat. About all I can fit.
