After several radio drop-outs, I have decided to buy a new one. I'll get the old one fixed, and either use it elsewhere or sell it. The new radio is the new MGL com. This has a built-in dual-mode intercom, so I'll be able to drop the intercom out of the switch and radio sub-panel as well.
Using the pattern for the previous sub-panel, I laid out on paper how the revised panel would look. This is to accomodate removing the King Com and adding the MGL Com. The King is a standard 6 3/8" w x 1.35" h. The MGL fits in a 3 1/8" round opening. Cut the panel from .060 and drilled pilots for all of the holes. Cut the 3 1/8" round hole.
