Held up a gear leg fairing (still flat) to the gear leg and could see it was too long. Made a paper cutout of the fairing shape and folded that over the gear leg. Shortened it by folding in the middle until it looked about right. Traced this onto the fairing - it was about an inch too long. Cut out a notch in the center to install the hinge pins from the center. Bent the fairing by spring-clamping one edge to the table edge. Fit it around the gear leg several times, making most of the trimming from the bottom end. Cut the hinges down in length to match, clecoed these to the fairing. Made up the hinge pins and put them in. Seems to fit pretty well.
