Disassembled the Asuza drum brakes to file on the actuation cams. Used the sanding drum on the dremel to do most of the filing, as my file wasn't cutting the steel cam much at all. Need to get a new file to do the edges of the cam that the dremel couldn't get into. Even just actuating the brake with the lever clamped in the vise I could feel that it is much easier to actuate the brake. No wonder people say the lever action is more sensitive and more power gets into the pads for stopping. Some have done before and after tests of how much rpm they could pull at runup before the brakes let go and it's pretty dramatic with just this simple little mod. I'll file on these some more to get the sides of the cams as round as I got the centers.
