Dad was in town and helped out with the dozen or so fasteners in the forward corners of the windshield. I don't have quite enough 8-32 locking nuts for the whole thing, since I doubled up the number of fasteners along the forwards edge, so we pulled out a few on the aft end on each side. But at least now all the hard-to-reach ones are done. It isn't really worth making nutplates as some have done. Just get someone on the screwdriver outside and someone else holding the wrench on the inside (and stick the nut to the wrench with a piece of tape) and it's pretty easy to complete.
