Brief Description:  Glare shield and spar tunnel

Spent about 1/2 hour to pull the rivets inside the spar tunnel. I did not think the rivet puller I had would work, as it is only about 1/4" shorter than the width of the tunnel. I put the rivets in the holes, leaned the stem over, slipped the puller on, and they pulled just fine. So no "shorty" rivet puller is necessary. Ran out of the CCC-44 rivets. It may have worked out exactly right, but I drilled out about 15 of these on the control triangle mount angles (to add the upper fastener holes that I didn't see were missing at first). So I ordered another bag of these. Spent the rest of the time drilling the glare shield. At first, I put it over the top of the longerons, then sat upside down on the seat and reached back over my head to drill. Then I saw the spacers at the forward end and took it all back apart. Pulled the spacers out, put the glare shield on the bottom where it belongs, and redrilled the holes from above - very easy. The two sets of holes are about 5/16" apart, so I'm not going to worry about them. The big benefit of putting the glare shield where it belongs is by pushing it inboard by 5/16" per side, it got quite a bit higher in the center, covering the gap at the fuel filler hole in the firewall. Drilled the aft panel-support angles to the glare shield and measured for the panel.
