Brief Description:  Wing rigging

With the help of Don, Byron, and Erik, got the wings rigged. I started at 5:30 am with moving things around. Byron showed up not long after 6, and the others a little after that. Moved fuselage into the driveway and leveled. Inserted wing, got the main spars pinned together through the 3 1/4" holes. Realized the openings in the skin didn't allow for enough adjustment. Removed wings, enlarged the skin holes, reinserted the wings. Got them pinned together, then replaced the pins with bolts as has been recommended. This draws the spars together front to back. Did the steps per the plans sheet to get the aft spar in position and drilled. Broke for lunch around noon (so you see most of the work is setting up the wings and getting the aft spar drilled into place). After lunch, drilled the main spar using the ex-Hugh #50 magic drill bits. Really anticlimactic - these drill bits worked great, no problems, though the bushing on the 5/16 to 3/8 will fall off when pulling the bit back out of the hole to clear chips. Installed the seat and took some photos, then broke it down and put it away. Will finish riveting the aft spar into position later.
