Brief Description:  Fwd fuse assy

Added for more photos. Continued by drilling the F12 skins to the tail cone. Then turned the whole thing to bottom side up. It fell off the jack stand (which left a mark on the side skin) while doing this, but I got it over. Fit the bottom skin by pulling a string from the RH aft spar pass-thru hole to the LH lower motor mount. This cranked the two sides to the right just enough to get the lower skin on nice and square to the tail cone. It only needed to move about 1/2". This has to do with less-than-perfect accuracy in getting the angles bent on the splice plates, but they fit pretty darned well into the F12's (it was worth it to make the RH one over again). Before turning it over, I drilled the firewall SST sheet. No big deal at all. Just drilled directly to #30, dipped the drill in WD-40 before each hole to cool & lubricate, and used the electric drill for a slow motor speed. Then bent the flanges by clamping the edge to be bent just over the edge of the work table and hammering. Finally set the firewall in place and cleaned up for the day.

This old wood brake didn't work at all. Don't bother.

Hammering over the table edge - that's the way to do it.
