Completed drilling all parts to the skin (pilot hole size). Marked location for Van's air inlet (need the parts in place as references). So another benefit of all this rework is that the air vents will now be symmetrical side-to-side. My first attempt at the right side I put the vent as high as possible. Then for the left side, I got the advice to drop it about 1 1/2 inches to allow the throttle cable to pass above. So now this new right side will also feature the dropped vent inlet. After marking, disassembled the F12. Next steps will be to cut the vent opening and polish the outside of the part prior to final hole size drilling.
