Took about 1.5 hours to drill the firewall attach clips through the motor mount bolt holes and install. (Not sure why that took so long, but that's what I recorded.) So sheet F12 is completed, Left and Right sides. Set up the left side aft fuselage panel to polish. Got a new polishing pad and some new Nuvite. The new pad attaches to the electric drill. This seems to put a basic clean-up start-of-polish on the sheet, and in some places it is almost clear enough to call finished. I don't like the noise or vibration or heat of the drill in my hands though. It's tough to go with this for hours at a time compared to the orbital car waxer. I note that this new, cheap riyobi car waxer actually puts out a little smoke after being run for a while. I suspect it isn't made to really run for an hour at a time. Probably more like 5 or 6 annual sub-1-hour car waxing sessions, at which point the user doesn't care if it burns out.
Both sides completed.
Showing inside of panel - what all the drilling is for.
