Brief Description:  Flight 102

0.7 flight time, 1 ldg. A very rare day when wind favored 3 for takeoff. Tried spins today. First one was to the left. On the stall, it naturally breaks right, but I thought with the prop rotation, that left would be pretty easy. It didn't spin, just fell through and turned about 180 degrees. Next to the right. Since it breaks right, this went pretty easy. Did about 1 turn and recovered. It's pretty nose low, which I've been told is a good thing (not anywhere close to a flat spin). Next tried to the left again. Held in rudder for longer to make sure the rotation got started. On recovering, almost overshot - could feel it start to spin the other way, but corrected and recovered. Then went over to the Silverbell mine just to have a look. On return, there were 3 planes and a helicopter in the pattern. They landed or departed right when I got back, so it was easy to fit in.
