Got the tank out. Most of the fasteners were out already. Just had to finish the forwards strap. Ended up taking the encoder out and the 12v socket for the GPS power cord since these are under the panel up forwards close to the tank. Got both straps undone and the tank wouldn't budge. So without hesitation I drilled out the aft angles that keep the tank from moving back. That did it. After some wiggling and bending the straps out of the way, it dropped down. So the trick is to undo those aft angles.
