Brief Description:  Oil, carb needle

Changed the needle in the Aerocarb to the no. 3, as that seems to be more prevalent for the 3300 engines. Set it to about 3 3/4 turns open, and installed the set screw. Should be good enough to let it run. Filled the engine with oil, about 4.3 quarts. Engine capacity is listed as 3.7, plus a little more for the oil cooler. Pushed it outside to spin the prop. CHT's showed 95 and 97 - seemed reasonable as the car showed 100 when I drove up. Spun the engine for a few seconds, oil pressure off of 0, up to about 30-35. Spun it again, oil pressure went to low 90's. I'm guessing that's when the oil cooler filled up. Spun it again, still low 90's. Checked for leaks. The quick drain fitting shows some oil. Several of the valve covers showed a little, but you have to take those loose to add the baffles. One of the oil filter spacer fittings (that I tapped in to add the cooler line fittings) showed a little. So I tightened everything that indicated a leak, rolled it back inside, and put some paper towels on the floor under the quick drain to see if it drips. Next step is to get some fuel in it and run it.
