Mixed up one pump of epoxy and put a layer of bid to back up the filled epoxy on the cowling top center seam build-up. The glass went on easier than I thought it would. Should provide a good structure to keep the filled epoxy from cracking. It does make one side of the cowling thicker than the other, which could cause misalignment when the hinge is riveted on, but I'll either add a spacer to the other side hinge or a layer of glass.
